BIOGRAPHY
Daniel John was
raised in Saskatchewan, Canada. He is a dancer, movement
& massage therapist, poet, writer, actor, and
playwright. He has ten children. He is a gardener and
landscape designer by trade and teaches Intuitive Gardening
for Brookline Adult Education. His poems, stories, and
essays have appeared in, among others, Apalachee Review,
The Amherst Review, The Comstock Review, Descant,
Drumvoices Revue, Epiphany! Mindprints, Ocean City, The
Owen Wister Review, Passager, Phantasmagoria, Phi Kappa Phi
Forum, Pig Iron Press, Rio Grande Review, Soundings East,
The North Dakota Quarterly, Thin Air, and Valdosta Voice.
His essay, "Dust to Dust, Ashes to Children" was one of the
winners in the Campbell Corner Essay Competition sponsored
by Sarah Lawrence College. He was a finalist in the Ruth
Stone Hunger Mountain Poetry Contest, the Comstock Review
Annual Poetry Contest, and received honorable mention in
Passager’s Annual Poetry Competition. His plays and
monologues have been produced by TYG Productions at the
Boston Playwrights Theater at Boston University.
